Can some1 give me any/all info on EVERYTHING STAR WARS to do @ the parks & where? 1ST trip & son(s) loves SW! Also, visiting 4/12-4/19, so missing the weekends, still any chances to see the charecters? This would make his trip MAGICAL!

    Hi Samuel -

If your son loves Star Wars, Disney's Hollywood Studios is the place to be.  First, you can start by riding Star Tours, a motion simulator ride that takes you to the moon of Endor.  Standing in line for this attraction, you'll walk under a giant AT-AT and see R2-D2 and C-3PO working on your aircraft.  The height requirement for this attraction is 40 inches, and children under 3 are not permitted to ride.

Outside of the attraction's entrance is Jedi Training Academy.  This is a 30 minute session where your child may be chosen from the audience to participate in light saber training -- robes and light sabers are provided.  I don't want to spoil the fun, but during training there are a few visits from the dark side.  Check the daily park schedule for specific times.

Finally, it is possible that you may find Chewbacca and other Star Wars characters outside of the Star Tours attraction.  Again, check your park schedule for details.

Have a magical vacation, and may the Force be with you!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
