5 girls going 2 wdw for one's 16th birthday - what gift can i get for someone taking me to disney?! :O i want 2 get her some stuff disney-ish for her bday with a budget of $50 any ideas? thank you!! also, its 8 mnths away any ideas how to pass the time??

    Hi Shannon,

Sounds like you girls are going to have a great time! How nice that you want to do something special for your friend! I'm not sure if you want to do something before your trip to have on hand or wait to purchase something while you're at WDW. If you want to get something before, check out  They have some really cool gifts that you can personalize or create-your-own for your special trip.

If you want to wait until you get to WDW, there are 2 places that I think you'll find something really cool for your friend. The first is a store at Downtown Disney's Marketplace called Trend-D. They have some awesome clothes, jewelry & accessories! Some of the things you have to look at for a second to even see that its Disney (not that I don't love things that scream Disney).

A new apparel store is opening in April 2010 in the DTD area's West Side. D Street will carry urban inspired products with a Disney creative edge. I can't wait to check it out. You could also contact Disney Floral & Gift Department & have a special gift delivered to her room or during a special birthday dinner. They offer gifts to fit every budget.

As for passing the time, I'd recommend getting on-line & get connected with what is happening at Disney so that you'll know the latest & greatest when you arrive. Disney Parks Blog is a great place to do that. If you twitter, follow DisneyParks & WaltDisneyWorld. Also - do your homework & research all the things there are to see & do. Having a game plan & being familiar with everything will make your trip more fun. Don't forget we're here to help you every step of the way. Wishing you magical memories :-)
