Guadalupe from Distrito Federal Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

We have 3 girls, (6, 4, and 2). My husband doesn’t like fast attractions and my 2 yo isn’t able to ride them. Since the 6 and 4 yo can’t ride together with me in a separate seat (or can they?), can we use rider switch so I can go with both of them?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Guadalupe! In a little more than a month you will be enjoying your Walt Disney World Resort vacation with your family!

I have good news! Yes, you can use Rider Switch exactly how you are describing! I just want you to be aware of a few changes to Rider Switch in the last few months. First, Cast Members are not giving paper Rider Switch passes. They’ve gone digital! Second, after you’ve experienced the attraction with one of your children, there is now a window of time in which you must use your Rider Switch pass.

Here’s how it would work, when you arrive at the attraction, let the Cast Member know you’d like to use Rider Switch. If you have a FastPass+ reservation for the attraction, the Cast Member will ask anyone who will be using the pass to tap their MagicBand or card to the Mickey sensor. That way the system knows who will be riding next. For example, if you’re wanting to enjoy the new Slinky Dog Dash in Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the stand-by line is 55 minutes long, you will have about 45 minutes to use your pass once the first group of riders gets off the attraction.

Guadalupe, for most attractions, children have to be at least nine-years-old to ride alone in a separate seat. But with more than 80+ attractions that your girls can experience, there’s something for everyone in your group and plenty for your whole family to enjoy together at the happiest place on earth!

I hope this information is helpful to you! Please feel free to come back to see us with any other questions you may have!
