Hi Daniel,
Welcome to planDisney! I’m sorry to hear about your girlfriend’s injury. I'm glad to hear you and your girlfriend are still looking forward to your upcoming trip.
My number one suggestion is for your girlfriend to speak to her doctor regarding her restrictions while in a cast. The doctor may want her to avoid certain movements while in her cast or avoid
attractions where she may get her cast wet. If your girlfriend does have certain restrictions from her doctor, I recommend asking the Cast Member at the entrance to the queue about the ride. You can ask the Cast Member if there are any
big drops or bumps so your girlfriend can decide if she wants to ride the attraction based on her comfort. Some of the classic Walt Disney World rides are slower moving, like
"it's a small world", and
Peter Pan’s Flight. Your girlfriend should have no problem experiencing those attractions.
There is still plenty to do in Walt Disney World Resort while your girlfriend is in a cast. You could challenge yourselves to
meet as many characters as you can in a day. There are many shows throughout the theme parks you could see, such as
For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration, or
Beauty & the Beast Live on Stage. Check out the
Play Disney Parks app to play games throughout the parks, like
Disney’s DuckTales World Showcase Adventure in EPCOT, or
use your mobile device as a Datapad at
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It sounds like you’ll be visiting while the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is running, so check out the list of performers for the
Garden Rocks Concert Series and catch a live show one evening.
I hope I gave you a lot of options to look forward to Daniel. I’m sure you and your girlfriend will have a magical time at Walt Disney World Resort. If you have any future questions, please
visit me again at planDisney!
