My girlfriend and I are looking to take a vacation in about a year from now to Disney World. I am hoping to spend under 2,000 dollars and spend 5 or 6 nights. Seeing as it is only the two of us I am looking for some park time and some romance. Any ideas?

Hi Thomas! This sounds like a perfect vacation for the two of you. Since you are on a budge I suggest checking out one of the great Value resorts on property. My first choice would be Pop Century for regular rooms. I love the Art of Animation family suites but I don't feel you would need this large of space with the added price tag. Then look at the different dining plans Disney offers and add that to the package. Most guests find the regular dining plan sufficient unless you are planning on a lot of signature restaurants or dinner shows and character dining.

Since this is for 2014 you will have to wait for that pricing to be announced but you can gauge it by seeing what a 2013 package would come to in cost.  Disney often offers specials such as Free Dining but we have no clue if they will do that for 2014. Always keep watching on their website for news on offers.

Also add your tickets to the package for the best convenience. You can select the number of days you wish and also if you want to add the Park Hopper option. This costs more so you have to make that decision as far as your budget goes.

There are many romantic things to do while at Disney. There are some food and wine dinners offered at select restaurants, fireworks cruises, carriage rides, and spa treatments. IF you are a more active couple try Splitsville bowling, fishing, or reserving a cabana at the Contemporary pool for an afternoon. The Boardwalk area is also very romantic in the evenings with the lights and street entertainment. There are just oodles of ideas for things you could do together while at Disney. I just don't have space to list them all so let me know if I can narrow it down according to your interests.
