Hello! My girlfriend and I are less than two weeks out for our first trip to Disney World together! I am curious, with morning extra magic hours starting at 8, what time do buses start from our resort? What time should we start lining up to rope drop EMH?

Hello Timothy! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

You must be so excited about your first Walt Disney World Resort vacation with your girlfriend. There is something truly magical about celebrating this magical place with someone you love for the first time.

As a benefit to Guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, Extra Magic Hours allows you to get a head start in the morning or some extra time after the Theme Parks close to Guests for some extra Disney magic.

Disney Resort Transportation begins roughly 45 minutes before scheduled Theme Park opening. This 45 minutes also includes Extra Magic Hours as part of the scheduled Theme Park hours. That means for Extra Magic Hours starting at 8am, resort transportation to the Theme Park will begin shortly after 7am.

I recommend that you try to get on one of the earliest buses from your Resort Hotel to be at the Theme Park in time for the beginning of Extra Magic Hours.

    Have a Magical Visit!
