Hi my girlfriend is a big Winnie the Pooh fan, was there anyway I could have the help of the Winnie the Pooh mascot to propose to her and/or am I allowed to wear the costume so I can propose to her? (Maybe have her come into a private area within the park)

Hello, Alex, and welcome to planDisney. I'm glad you stopped by because, as Winnie the Pooh says, any day spent with you is my favorite day! How exciting that you plan to propose to your girlfriend at the Happiest Place on Earth. I'd be honored to help you brainstorm a memorable way to surprise her. It's no bother!

First, let's talk about where to meet Pooh Bear. Lately, guests can meet him (and sometimes Piglet or Eeyore) at Critter Country near "Pooh's thotful spot" in Disneyland Park. On the special day, hop on your Disneyland Mobile App and click the map icon at the bottom of your screen. Tap the drop-down menu at the top and choose Characters. I like to select the Show List option to see a list of characters you can meet that day. Scroll to find Pooh and click on his name to see appearance times and find him on the map.

While waiting your turn to meet everyone's favorite honey lover, my advice is to ask one of Pooh's Cast Member friends to video your meet and greet. You could tell them that Pooh is your girlfriend's favorite character so she won't be suspicious. When it's your turn, I suggest letting the proposal happen naturally. I'm sure Pooh and other guests will cheer you on and make it a momentous occasion!

Another tip is to purchase Disney Genie+ Service so you'll have unlimited digital downloads of all the photos taken by Disney PhotoPass photographers that day. For example, after the proposal, you can head to Sleeping Beauty Castle for more fun photos. The PhotoPass photographers will undoubtedly have creative ideas to showcase the happy couple and that sparkling new engagement ring! And Genie+ Service will also allow you to bypass the standby queues at many attractions.

And remember to take a spin on The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and snap some photos there. The attraction queue offers some fun and colorful backdrops to commemorate the day.

Alex, I hope you'll report back and let me know how the proposal goes! I'm sending pixie dust and smackerels that she says YES! Please stop by planDisney anytime, and congratulations!

    Magic awaits,
