I am a girl scout leader and we are going to wdw on family vacation. I read that there is a girl scout fun patch by daughter can earn while there. Where do I find the patch and requirements?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Nicole! I remember being a girl scout fondly and doing all sorts of fun things for patches!

You may want to read this answer from former panelist Stacy, as she details what she knows about the patch. I would second her advice to reach out to your local Girl Scout council to ask if the Disney Fun Patch is still around and to acquire the checklist of activities to earn it. The checklists floating around on the internet are extremely outdated and many of the items are no longer available to see. Of course, you can always check your handbooks to see if there are any badges (use the Girl Scout badge finder) you might be able to earn while on property, such as the Animal Habitats badge (many of these activities can be completed in Disney’s Animal Kingdom) or perhaps the Archery badge by participating in the Fort Wilderness Archery Experience. Lastly, the Disney YOUTH programs (you can filter by grade level and find Girl Scout rankings) may be of interest and very applicable to your girls and troop members.

If I can help you find other activities that will enrich your child’s education, please let me know. There’s a lot to discover! ~ Lindsey P.
