Hey there, Michelle, and welcome back to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by the panel with your question! The holiday season at Walt Disney World is a truly awe-inspiring experience. From “snow” showers in Central Florida to eloquent gingerbread displays, there are tons of holiday staples to enjoy and experience! While you’re on your vacation, be sure to take a Christmas Tree stroll through
Disney Springs where you may catch a glimpse of snow!
Michelle, unfortunately, the Gingerbread House at
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is typically disassembled by January 1 of each year. Since you are arriving on that day, you may not get a chance to see it on display. But even if you don’t catch a glimpse of the Gingerbread House this trip, several holiday festivities will remain to be seen for a few days after the New Year. Even though Disney doesn’t give a specific date that the decorations will come down, the first week of January usually finds the Theme Parks and Disney Springs still all dolled up in their festive best!
Here’s to hoping that you do get to experience some extra special Disney holiday cheer this year! I hope this helps, Michelle! Your Walt Disney World vacation awaits!
Until Next Time,
PG
