Hi there, Ivan!
Many Guests enjoy documenting their magical experiences at the Disneyland Resort with their smartphones. It’s not uncommon to see Guests using gimbal stabilizers with their phones. The
Disneyland Resort rules do indicate several
items that are not permitted. They include selfie sticks (defined as “hand-held extension poles for cameras and mobile devices”) and large tripods or monopods that extend over six feet or that cannot fit inside a typical backpack. Note that Disneyland Resort security Cast Members reserve the right to prohibit any item they feel may pose a safety risk or that could cause a disturbance. In my observations, most non-extendible gimbal stabilizers have been permitted by Disneyland Resort security.
Tony’s Tip: Don’t forget to take advantage of the helpful
Disney PhotoPass photographers to record your experiences as well. In most cases, the photographers and other Cast Members are willing to use your device to take pictures. But one of the greatest hacks available to Guests is that the purchase of the
Disney Genie+ service at the Disneyland Resort includes complimentary downloads of all of your PhotoPass photos for the day. That includes any attraction photos you link to your account too!
I hope you have a wonderful time making magical memories at The Happiest Place on Earth, Ivan!
