Hi there, Dana!
Thank you for checking on the
Disneyland Resort rules. By following these rules, Guests and Cast Members can better maintain a safe and fun experience for everyone.
Yes, you are
permitted to take a gimbal for your camera or recording device. As long as it is not attached to an extendable pole, it should be fine. Security Cast Members do have the discretion to prohibit items that may be harmful or disruptive. Generally, photography and recording equipment that is unobtrusive is allowed. For example, tripods that are not over six feet tall and can collapse to fit within a standard backpack are usually permitted.
I hope you enjoy making magical memories of your visit to the Disneyland Resort, Dana! To add to your collection of memories, you may take advantage of the many
Disney PhotoPass photographers throughout the theme parks. Plus, downloads of all your PhotoPass photos, including attraction photos and Magic Shots, are complimentary with the purchase of the
Disney Genie+ service.
Tony’s Tip: Even if only one member of your party has purchased Genie+, you will be able to download each of your photos.
Have a magical time!
