Hello, Angelo,
There are many opportunities for making magical memories at the Disneyland Resort. And seeing fellow Guests recording those memories is even more common than
churros and
Dole Whips.
I have occasionally noticed other Guests at the Disneyland Resort using camera mounts with gimbals. They seem like a great tool to help record precious vacation memories. Ultimately, it is up to Cast Members at the security checkpoints to decide whether a particular item should be denied entry due to a safety concern. So I suggest taking a look at the
Disneyland Resort property rules and the
list of items not permitted to determine whether your specific device falls within the guidelines.
Generally, camera mounts that extend like a selfie stick are not permitted. Again, security Cast Members have the final say. But, if your device does not extend, it is more likely to be permitted. You’ll also want to be familiar with other rules regarding photography, video recording, and recording equipment.
Tony’s Tip: Did you know that all of the
Disney PhotoPass photos taken on select attractions at the Disneyland Resort are
complimentary? You’ll need to note the photo ID you see displayed on the monitors at the exit of those attractions. In the
Disneyland mobile app, tap the ‘+’ at the bottom of the screen and select “Link PhotoPass Photos” to add them to your account. Then, be sure to download and share your ride photos
before they expire.
If you would like to download other photos taken by the many
talented Disney PhotoPass photographers, you may either purchase them individually or purchase one of the
PhotoPass products that allow for downloading all of your photos during a given period. My favorite is the
Disney Genie+ service because it also gives you the ability to request return times to
Lightning Lane queues of select attractions and you get access to
PhotoPass Lenses!
May your memories last forever, Angelo!
