I had been gifted a two-day Park Hopper ticket in 2019 but only received the original email from my friends recently. Is there a way to claim the tickets for my visit in May?

Hi there, Greg! Welcome to planDisney. I'm so glad to hear that you are finally able to put those park tickets to use and are planning a visit to the Disneyland Resort! I know how challenging the last few years have been for everyone. Taking my family back to parks and spending a few days at the Happiest Place on Earth warmed our hearts and filled us with magic! It was just what we needed!

One of the things I love most about a Disneyland vacation is the flexibility offered with theme park tickets in case life throws a pumpkin in your path. While tickets do have expiration dates, there is a tiny bit of pixie dust that never fully burns out! Your tickets have likely expired, but you are able to apply the original value of an unused ticket towards the purchase of a new ticket! Since you are reaching out to us from Australia, I would recommend contacting your local travel agent to help you with the process of securing new tickets!

I can see that you are hoping to visit in just a few weeks! As part of the return to the magic since reopening last year, all Guests are required to have both theme park tickets and theme park reservations to enter the parks. I think it's easiest to consider them as two separate pieces of magic; while the ticket is your admission to the park, the reservation holds a spot for you on a particular day at a particular park. It helps our friends Mickey and Minnie to know how many people to expect each day. Reservations are subject to availability, so I would go ahead and put in that call to your travel agent as soon as you can. I know availability for May is filling up quickly! Guests can make and change reservations, so even if you don't see any openings on your preferred dates, something might open up as you get closer!

Crossing my fingers and sending a little magic your way in the hopes that you will be spending your days at the Disneyland Resort very soon! Be sure to make time in the evenings to catch some of the nighttime spectaculars that have just returned to both parks! I just caught World of Color and the Main Street Electrical Parade this week and was blown away by the music, wonder, and storytelling! Not to mention that the snacks and treats that are inspired by both shows are equally as entertaining and delicious. A must-try in my book is the Electric Sweet and Salty Popcorn - a perfect complement to a viewing of the Main Street Electrical Parade!

Greg, if you have any more questions, you know where to find us here at planDisney! Magical memory-making awaits!

    See ya real soon!
