Thank you for stopping by planDisney with your question, Staci! A Walt Disney World Resort vacation is best shared with those you love, and my favorite memories are those made with my favorite people. It's always fun to see the grandparents embrace their inner child while at the "Most Magical Place on Earth!"
Many older adults don't care to have their own
My Disney Experience account, but the good news is that they can be managed in your account. As long as you register each person under your "
Family and Friends" and
link their tickets, then they will be good to go; you can even make
Park Pass Reservations and
Disney Genie+ selections for them (if you decide to purchase it). To connect someone to your MDE account for the first time, follow these steps:
1. Hover over Family and Friends (in the app, you'll find this under 'My Profile'), and you should see two options:
*View List
*Add a Guest-
Choose this option2. Next, you'll be given three choices:
*Find through your Disney Family and Friends list
*Import from a Disney reservation
*Enter name and age-
Choose this option3. Lastly, select, "I want to manage all plans for this Guest."
When we traveled with my in-laws, I made sure to schedule breaks during the day, and the best way to do this was during meal times. Planning to go to a sit-down restaurant in the Parks for lunch is an excellent way to relax and get out of the hustle and bustle. Another recommendation for traveling with extended family is to purchase
Memory Maker; the grandparents will appreciate having a few framed photos or a custom photo book of your favorite trip memories!
Wishing you lots of pixie dust on your upcoming vacation, Staci! Come back and see us again real soon!
