Hey there, Laura! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney. I'm delighted to hear that you've been pixie-dusted with a magical stay at
Disney's Old Key West Resort - the OG
Disney Vacation Club property! I am sure you're counting down the days, and it's my pleasure to lend a helping hand with some dining plan details.
A
Dining Plan is always a great idea. We typically add this option to our
Walt Disney World Resort vacations to guarantee that our meals are taken care of during our days in the theme parks. Our go-to is the
Disney Dining Plan, which includes a Table-Service meal, a Quick-Service Meal, and a snack or non-alcoholic beverage for each night of your stay. I really like having a sit-down lunch planned during the day so we can get off our feet, fuel up, and decide which attraction to visit next!
The current promotion for
free dining plans for kids 3-9 is absolutely available for DVC reservations. To add it, the DVC Member who gifted you the stay must do this via the Member website. When they click into your April booking, they will see an option to add dining plans. The adult Guests on the reservation must have paid dining plans, and then the children will show up as free.
Fair warning, Laura - if you're anything like our family, this April trip may have you thinking about joining DVC yourself so you can keep enjoying the magic year after year! You'll find a DVC kiosk at Old Key West where you can chat with a Cast Member about Membership, as well as many locations in the parks and
Disney Springs. It's a big decision, but one that we've never regretted!
I hope this information is helpful for your planning purposes! If you have any other questions as you're making your packing list and checking it twice, please come back and see us again at planDisney anytime.
Stay Magical!
Susan
