Giftcards purchased at Disney stores in Canada, is it true you can load with CAN Dollars & use it to pay your balance owing online & in the parks. The CM told me it converts to USD?

Hi, Chrystal! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, my fellow Canadian friend!

Did you know that Disney Gift Cards have been popping up in locations other than The Disney Store throughout Canada as of late? I have even been able to purchase one while grabbing some groceries- it definitely added a bit of magic to a mundane chore! When you purchase a Disney Gift Card in Canada, you will be adding Canadian Dollars to it. Once you use it to pay for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, or when you use it at Walt Disney World Resort, it will automatically use the previous day’s closing exchange rate- no conversion fees like you would have on your debit or credit card! You will be able to check your balance at most merchandise locations throughout Walt Disney World Resort or online. If you happen to have many Disney Gift Cards, you can even transfer funds from one to the other, regardless if they are in Canadian or United States dollars- they will all turn into USD once converted.

I hope this answers your question, happy shopping and have a magical vacation!
