Hi Brianna! Thanks for visiting planDisney.
Giving someone Disneyland Resort
admission tickets is such a lovely gift, bringing them much magic and joy in the future. I'd be thrilled to receive your gift! Occasionally there are fantastic resident ticket deals, such as SoCal Ticket Offers or most recently an Anaheim Ticket Offer. These ticket offers only can be purchased and used by Guests who live in the eligible ZIP Codes noted in the terms. They must also provide a government-issued valid picture ID showing their eligible address at the time of use.
When attempting to purchase a ticket as a gift, you wouldn't have access to a resident discount since your MyDisney account doesn't reflect eligibility for the deal. I'm sorry if that's not the news you were hoping for today. You could work around this, however! I'd suggest buying a
Disney Gift Card for your recipient in the proper amount with a note that you intended them to use it toward an admission ticket. Unfortunately, there's no California resident ticket offer available at this time, so you'd have to select a different ticket type.
There's usually a discount and deal afloat associated with tickets or hotel stays, so don't give up on your idea. You can check the current offers on the
Offers & Discounts page, which is regularly updated. It's a great place to start planning for your visit or when planning to make magic happen for someone else. For example, there's a new
Kids' Special Ticket Offer, which will be coming out in January. These 1-day, 1-park tickets are available for purchase for as low as $50 per child. It's a great value for families. I'm definitely going to be letting my family, who are locals, know they have to check it out.
I hope this helps.
