So I want to gift Disney Tickets for a family out of state I don’t know an exact date but that’s the only option I have when picking them online how do I buy surprise tickets without a certain date I want them to choose the day and month not me

Hi there Freddie, and welcome to planDisney!

What a wonderful gesture to purchase Walt Disney World theme park tickets for your family! Nothing is better than the gift of making magical memories with loved ones. They're sure to treasure your generosity for years.

Freddie, because theme park admission pricing varies based on when you visit, you must select a start date before finalizing your purchase. I do have a few ideas to make your plan work. First, consider giving your family members Disney Gift Cards for the amount they need to cover the cost of tickets. Use the dropdown menu for Tickets & Parks on the Walt Disney World home page, and select "Buy Theme Park Tickets." Click the blue "Continue" button inside the ticket icon to bring up the date-based ticket pricing calendar. Browse the calendar to get an approximate idea of what your desired tickets will cost to calculate the necessary funds for the Disney Gift Cards. If your relatives have a balance on their gift cards after purchasing tickets, they can use them for meals, souvenirs, or extras like Disney Genie+ Service during their trip.

If you'd like to gift your family members actual theme park tickets, choose a start date that might work for them. When they're ready to plan their vacation, they can modify the tickets to fit their schedule. They can change the start date of their tickets online or in the My Disney Experience mobile app.

I hope this is helpful, Freddie! While you shop for tickets, remember that as one of Mickey Mouse's closest neighbors, you can purchase specially priced Florida resident theme park tickets for yourself, but your out-of-state family will need regular tickets. Best wishes for planning your big surprise, and we can't wait to welcome your relatives "home" very soon.

    Have a magical day,
    Betsy
