    Do gift cards expire

    Hi Judy!

    I just love receiving Disney Gift Cards for any occasion or holiday or even purchasing them myself for our family vacations.  You can pay for practically anything with them at the Walt Disney World Resort including Disney Resort hotels, tickets, dining, souvenirs and more!

    Disney Gift Cards do not have an expiration date, unlike some retailers or prepaid credit cards.  I was organizing my closet earlier this summer and found a gift card in a purse that I haven't used in years that still had a balance on it (score!) and was still able to use it at Walt Disney World last weekend.  

    If you have several Disney Gift Cards if your possession, you can easily combine them into one gift card online so you aren't carrying around a bunch of cards in your pocket or purse.  I like to register mine on the website as well just in case they are lost or stolen while I'm on vacation.  If they are registered to your account online, you can transfer the balance of the lost card to another card and not be out the money.
