I have some gift cards that I would like to add to Magicband. How do I go about doing this?

    Hi Martha! Welcome to planDisney!

Disney Gift Cards are a great way to save up for a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I get excited every time I purchase one knowing that I am that much closer to enjoying my visit. Using them in the theme parks is a breeze, and when I am on vacation, that convenience is a huge relief!

When charging expenses via your MagicBand, you are actually charging them to a hotel account. As long as you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel, your MagicBand will be linked to your hotel account and this will enable you to use a quick tap of your MagicBand (plus entering your PIN for security) to pay for meals, souvenirs, snacks, and more! You will need to have a credit card on file for this to work, but you can visit the Front Desk of your hotel to pay down the balance of your account with your gift cards.

I recommend stopping by the Front Desk when you arrive for your stay to ask when your credit card on file will auto-magically be charged with your expenses. Then, you will know exactly how often you'll need to head to the Front Desk to use your Disney Gift Cards to pay towards your balance. On the My Disney Experience mobile app, you will be able to see your charges to keep up with all the delicious and fun purchases you have made. How easy is that?!

I hope this helps, Martha! Please let us know if you have any other questions before your visit.
