I have GF booked right now for 12/5-12/12/10 - husband and 4 kids 7,5,3, 23mo. I keep second guessing myself. Would a different resort be better for us? Polynesian? Contemporary? HELP! I'm driving my husband crazy. I need some advice. Thanks so much

    Hi Jennifer,

Second guessing yourself while planning a Walt Disney World vacation? Welcome to the club!! Even when while we're on vacation I find myself saying, "Should we have stayed there? Did we make the right choice in dining at restaurant X even though restaurant Y is a favorite?"  It can get really confusing planning the PERFECT vacation when there are so many great options.

I can tell you that you made a great decision in staying at a monorail resort!  It will be so convenient when traveling to and from the Magic Kingdom - judging by the age of your children, I'm sure you'll be spending some time there!  It's also a beautiful resort, especially at Christmas!

The only option that might be better is the Polynesian for a couple of reasons.  First, the rooms are a bit bigger, and with six people in a room, you might want that extra space.  Second, if you stay in Tahiti or Rarotonga, you'll be quite close to the Transportation and Ticket Center where you can take a monorail directly to Epcot or an express monorail to the Magic Kingdom (rather than stopping at resorts).

I wouldn't choose Contemporary with that many people.  I find that there is less storage space in the rooms at the Contemporary, and I'm thinking you'll need all you can get.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
