Hey there, Maureen, and welcome to planDisney!
I wish I had an upcoming Wilderness Lodge stay booked right about now--it's ranked pretty high on my family's favorite Disney Resort hotels list. Even when we're not vacationing there, as locals, we like to hop over to restaurants like
Whispering Canyon Cafe and
Story Book Dining at Artist Point. You've asked a great question about dining at another fantastic option,
Geyser Point Bar & Grill.
I love that Disney dining plans are back in action at Disney World! They offer a convenient (and prepaid) way to snack and eat your way around the Resort. Geyser Point, both through Mobile Ordering via the
My Disney Experience app and in-person dining, uses your table-service meal credit. Although food can be ordered to-go, in general, Geyser Point is an al fresco (outdoor) seating, dine-in restaurant overlooking Bay Lake.
As much as I like to grab a table there (the views and vibes are amazing), I prefer to order Geyser Point dishes through the My Disney Experience app and take it back to my family's hotel room, especially if we're lucky enough to book one with a view of the fireworks. Nothing beats eating a delicious meal from the comfort of your room.
AN EXTRA GEM: If you are ordering via the app, keep in mind that it may take a tad longer than the expected pick-up window because the Geyser Point dishes are made-to-order. It's 100% worth the wait!
Thanks again for stopping by, Maureen. I hope that you have an amazing time at The Most Magical Place on Earth. If you have any other vacation planning questions,
give us a holler here at planDisney. Magic always,
LeAndra
