Hiya Chris!
Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney again with your travel question! And I love that you’re coming from New Jersey. Let’s trade those Garden State views for a stroll right down Main Street with a perfect view of
Cinderella Castle.
Let’s jump right into it! You will absolutely not get any strange looks traveling solo to Disney. In fact, you’ll be in great company. There are so many guests who visit on their own, so I am sure you can even make friends on this trip. I’ve done it myself quite a few times, and it has been wonderful. There’s something really special about having the freedom to do exactly what you want, when you want.
One of the biggest perks of traveling solo is taking advantage of
single-rider lines at attractions like
Expedition Everest at
Animal Kingdom or
Millennium Falcon at
Hollywood Studios. You can move through the parks so easily, weaving through crowds and hopping from ride to ride without a plan holding you back.
When it comes to timing, it honestly just comes down to what you enjoy most. For me, I love when there’s a little extra magic in the air, so the holiday seasons are always my favorite. In the fall, you’ve got all the flavors and fun of the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, plus the not-so-spooky fun of
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. The Boo-to-You Parade is such a highlight, and as a solo traveler, it’s so easy to grab a great viewing spot.
And during the winter holidays, the resorts and parks are absolutely transformed with twinkling lights, towering trees, and that cozy, festive feeling that makes everything feel a little more magical.
Chris, I hope this helps you feel excited and confident about a solo trip to Disney. If you have any more questions, feel free to visit us again.
See you real soon!
Christina
