Getting a shuttle from MCO to Art of Animation Resort. Renting a car for a week afterward from the Car Care Centre, but not staying at Disney. So, how do we pick up a shuttle after we return the vehicle to Disney Car Care?

    Hiya Byron,

Welcome to planDisney! I bet if Walt could see what The Florida Project” that we now know as Walt Disney World and the greater Orlando area, he would be amazed! There is so much to do in and around Walt Disney World that I didn’t get to experience it all when I lived there. I’m so excited that you are planning to extend your visit and take more of the Sunshine State in!

Renting a car from the Car Care Center is a great way to get around and explore (don’t forget to schedule a pickup from Art of Animation Resort to the Car Care Center at least an hour prior to when you need it). Unfortunately, while the Car Care Center does offer complimentary shuttle service to the Transportation and Ticket Center, at this time, there is no shuttle to and from Orlando International Airport. After you drop off your rental vehicle, your best bet to get back to the airport is to arrange a rideshare such as Uber or Lyft.

I hope this was helpful, Byron. Before I let you go, during your Art of Animation stay, be sure to use the Disney Skyliner to make a pit stop at the Riviera Resort on your way to EPCOT. They have some of my favorite bakery treats (the Riviera cookie is incredible), and I love dining at Bar Riva (the sticky wings are something I must have every time I visit). Please come back and see us if you need anything else!

    Happy Planning,

    Ashley F.
