We are getting ready to take our 1 year old to Disney World for a day. I was thinking Animal Kingdom in the morning and Magic Kingdom in the afternoon. Any recommendations on "must sees or do's" with a 1 year old? Is Toontown still at MK?

    Hi Ashley!

I love your plan! Honestly, you could spend an entire day in Magic Kingdom, but if you have your heart set on starting your day at Disney's Animal Kingdom, here are some tips:

    • Arrive at Park opening, or 30 minutes prior if possible, to catch the "Rope Drop" entertainment
    • Head directly to Kilimanjaro Safaris
    • Take the Maharajah Jungle Trek
    • See the exhibits at the Tree of Life, especially the Discovery Island Trails
    • Check out Minnie and Mickey's new stomping grounds, Adventurers Outpost on Discovery Island
    • See Festival of the Lion King or Finding Nemo - The Musical
    • Ride TriceraTop Spin
At Magic Kingdom, I wouldn't miss:
    • The Magic Carpets of Aladdin
    • Jungle Cruise
    • Pirates of the Caribbean
    • Country Bear Jamboree
    • "it's a small world"
    • Peter Pan's Flight
    • Enchanted Tales with Belle
    • Under the Sea-Journey of The Little Mermaid
    • Prince Charming Regal Carrousel
    • The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
    • Dumbo the Flying Elephant
    • The Barnstormer
    • Casey Jr. Splash 'N' Soak Station
    • Pete's Silly Sideshow
    • Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin
    • Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade
    • Wishes nighttime spectacular
Toontown is no longer there, however the New Fantasyland is a beautiful addition! As you can see, there will be SO many magical moments to create and not near enough time! It's how we all feel when we visit Walt Disney World and why we continue to come back. Take it slow, choose the things that would appeal most to your prince or princess and most importantly, enjoy your Disney Time!
