Hello Nicole! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
There is no place in all of Walt Disney World Resort that is filled with more festive cheer then the lobby of
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort during the holiday season. Whether it's the towering, richly decorated Christmas tree or the life-sized gingerbread house that fills the lobby with the rich aroma of gingerbread,
Christmas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort is a must for every Disney fan or holiday enthusiast.
Being able to enjoy the fireworks from Magic Kingdom from the comfort of your own Resort hotel room is another experience filled with magic. All of the buildings at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort have select rooms with a view of the fireworks at Magic Kingdom(including the main building). The major difference is that the Theme Park View rooms in the Main Building are relegated to the third floor and higher while the buildings along Seven Seas Lagoon have Theme Park View rooms on all floors.
In my opinion, the higher floors provide a wonderful large-scale view of the fireworks while outer buildings along Seven Seas Lagoon provide a more personal and intimate experience.
The greatest benefit for an outer building at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort, is experiencing the
Electrical Water Pageant that makes nightly circuits around the Deluxe Resorts. The main building is more convenient to Disney Transportation, the
unique shopping experiences at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and the elaborate Christmas theme in the main lobby.
Have a Very Merry Visit!
Todd
