Hi All, we are getting ready to go on our 1st Disney cruise and I'm concerned about the gratuity. We will not be eating during our scheduled 8 time window. How does gratuity work out?

    Hi, Bobbie!

Congratulations on your first Disney cruise! Without hesitation, I know that you will be awed by the ship, the ports of call and the legendary Disney service you'll be provided.

Are you not dining in the main restaurants at all in the evenings? If not, you are not expected to offer gratuities to those who have not served you. However, since dining is included in the price of your cruise fare, I would encourage you to take advantage of the experience. It truly is amazing -- food, atmosphere and service.

You can take a look at the Gratuities Guidelines on the DisneyCruise.com Planning Center for who and how much to tip, and that will give you an idea of services provided throughout the ship. If you have any other questions before you sail, you can find me here, and I'd be happy to help.

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
