Hi! Getting ready for my first cruise this summer. I have been diagnosed with sleep apnea and use a CPAP. Can I bring my own water for my machine?

    Hi Judith!

A first time Disney cruise? SQUEE! I am so excited for you and cannot wait to help you navigate the cruise planning waters. Take a deep breath and get ready to experience all the delights of at sea days and ports of call during your sailing with Captain Mickey and crew!

Nobody has the time to be like Snow White's dwarf friend Sleepy, especially while on a special voyage at sea. So here's some great news! You won't need to bring distilled water with you onboard because Disney Cruise Line will have it delivered to your stateroom for your CPAP machine. This can be done before you sail through Special Services, once onboard with Guest Services, or with your stateroom host/hostess. Even though they will see this noted on your reservation, make sure to mention it to stateroom staff when you are getting settled in on embarkation day.

Another question that often accompanies bringing a CPAP machine onboard: what is the outlet situation like in the staterooms? Well, there are multiple ones by the bed and at the desk/vanity area, so the CPAP machine has a number of options for plugging in. I always find that I sleep wonderfully while cruising, thanks to the heavenly bedding in the staterooms and the gentle rocking of the ship. Plan on catching some restful zzzz's at night and then doing as you please during the day!

Speaking of plugging in, stay plugged in to all the onboard activities and entertainment using the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app on your mobile device. This app will guide you with all the onboard activities and entertainment, from character greetings to dinner menus, deck plans, shows, and first-run movies.

Hopefully you will find your voyage to be the breath of fresh air you've been craving. Feel free to drop us a line if you'd like more planning advice. Have a fabulous sailing!

    SEA ya real soon!
