Ahoy Diane –
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I can tell that you are getting excited about your first cruise, and it is right around the corner! Your pirate crew will have a wonderful vacation with
Disney Cruise Line, and when you return home, you will remember your experiences onboard as “unforgettable”.
Gratuities work out to about $12 per day per cruiser. There will be 4 cast members who work hard as a team to earn these gratuities and they are:
Stateroom Attendant
Dining Room Server
Dining Room Assistant Server
Dining Room Head Server Gratuities for the cast members listed above will be automatically deducted from your stateroom account at the end of the cruise. You have the choice to remove, decrease, or increase the amounts the day prior to debarkation when you receive their tip envelopes. If you dine at
Palo or
Remy, you may tip at your discretion and it will be added to your stateroom account.
Room service gratuities are also your choice and can be paid with cash or added to your stateroom account, much like Palo. I usually tip $1 per person for room service. The following services will add automatic gratuity to your stateroom account: 15% for
Cove Café,
alcohol purchases onboard and Castaway Cay,
Preludes, and
Spa and
Salon (18%). At the end of your cruise, your stateroom charges will be settled to the credit card on file. Diane, I hope this helps with your planning and have fun on your upcoming cruise!
