    We are getting our plans together for our first family trip to Disney!! The hotel we're considering is The Contemporary and wondered if they still run the monorail through the hotel to ride? Also, has the hotel been updated recently?

    Hi Kim, Yes, the monorail does go through the Contemporary and you can ride it to your hearts content. It does a loop around from the Contemporary Resort to the Ticket and Transportation Centre then the Polynesian Resort, next is the Grand Floridian, Magic Kingdom and right back to the Contemporary. I love riding on the monorail and think it's one if my favorite attractions in all of WDW....no kidding! The Contemporary Resort has been renovated/updated recently and last year I saw the "new" rooms, they are lovely. Very clean, dark woods, comfy beds and bedding, etc... I think if you choose to stay here, you will not be disappointed. Have a magical day and a wonderful first trip to WDW! Best wishes, Brigitta
