Check in at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge

    We are getting into Orlando in the morning on October 31st, but our check in time isn't until the afternoon. Are we able to drop off our luggage at the front desk, or do they have someplace we can store them until check in?

    Welcome to planDisney.

    I'm happy to say that if you arrive at your Disney Resort hotel before your room is ready, you can leave your bags with Bell Services, and you can either collect your luggage from Bell Services yourself when you are ready to check-in or call them from your room. You will need to be present in your hotel room when they deliver your luggage.  Whatever time you arrive, however early, it's always worth checking if your room is ready - you never know, it might be ready super early for you.  If you use online check-in, you will be sent a text or email (whichever is your preferred communication) when your room is ready, so you can go off and enjoy your day until it's time to unpack and settle in for your vacation.

    The same applies for your departure day.  As soon as you are ready to check out of your room, take all your luggage down to Bell Services and ask them to hold your bags for you until you leave later that day.  Everything will be stored safely and securely for you in a locked facility, so if you have a laptop or other valuables you can leave them with confidence.  Remember to keep all your essentials with you, but you can retrieve anything from your luggage at any time.  You can also request that they collect your luggage from your room if you prefer (but, again, you need to be present when they call).

    We all love to squeeze every moment out of our vacation, and our last day is just as important as our first - so leave your luggage and go and enjoy a magical day at the parks before it's time to leave.

    It's worth noting that if you have placed a grocery order in advance, this will also be held by Bell Services, and they will refrigerate anything that needs to be kept cold.
