Ahoy from a fellow Georgian! Jessi, since you are planning a wedding, let me congratulate you on your engagement. The last time I was on the Disney Wish, I witnessed photos taken after a wedding ceremony, and The Grand Hall was a beautiful location to capture the special occasion.
Planning a wedding on Disney Cruise Line does not need to be stressful! There is an excellent team of Disney Wedding Specialists with Disney's Fairytale Weddings and Honeymoons that can help your big day be a magical occasion. If you are unable to extend your celebration, here are some activities that may interest you, your family, and your friends:
- If your group includes only adults, you can visit one of the Nightclubs or Lounges together for a celebratory toast or maybe karaoke. A cocktail and beignets under the magnolias in The Bayou with family and friends would be a sweet start to a spirited celebration. Don't worry, though; there are no frogs to kiss!
- If you have some younger Guests with you, check the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for character experiences you can all enjoy in your wedding attire.
- For the more active Guests in your party, going to the Hero Zone to participate in a physical challenge or competition together would create some great memories. I would not suggest wearing a wedding dress on the obstacle course, but a super suit would be appropriate.
I hope this helps to generate some ideas that will work best for you and your wedding party. Contact Disney's Fairytale Weddings and Honeymoons, who may have even more ideas to help make your wedding day vision a reality. The
Ever After Blog is another good resource for ideas. If you have any other questions about the Disney Wish, please sail back to me and my pals on
planDisney and we will be happy to help.
Wishing you a lifetime of happiness,
