Hi, we are getting married on the 4th of December 2025. We will be staying in the Polynesian resort that night and plan to watch the fireworks from the Polynesian beach. Is it possible to reserve a section of the beach or contact details to ask the resort?

    Hi Leah!

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! How magical to celebrate your big day at Walt Disney World, at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort - what a perfect choice! The beach at the Polynesian is a fantastic spot to watch the fireworks, especially with the backdrop of Cinderella Castle in the distance.

As for reserving a section of the beach, the beach area at the Polynesian Village Resort is open to all guests, and they don't usually reserve specific sections for private events or gatherings. It’s a first-come, first-served type setup, which keeps the area relaxed and accessible to everyone.

However, there are still some enchanting options you might consider:

You could book a private Fireworks Cruise! These cruises sail across Seven Seas Lagoon, offering beautiful views of the Magic Kingdom fireworks. It’s an intimate and unique experience, perfect for a newlywed celebration. I was lucky enough to get to experience one of these amazing cruises with my daughters a few years ago, and it is one of my favorite Disney memories.

Another option would be to book a romantic dining reservation at California Grill at the nearby Contemporary Resort, which offers stunning views of the fireworks. If you choose to book this experience, make sure to note on your reservation that you’ll be celebrating! (I’d probably even call the restaurant ahead of time to let them know you’ll be dining on your wedding day, in hopes of being seated with the best possible view.)

If you do choose to watch the Happily Ever After Fireworks from the Polynesian beach, with a few extra touches, you can make it even more romantic for your special night. Here are some ideas to add a little pixie dust to your fireworks viewing:

Pick up a bottle of champagne or sparkling wine from the resort’s gift shop, and toast to your new life together as the fireworks begin.

Bring a blanket or towels with your initials or wedding date embroidered on them. It adds a personalized touch and makes for a great keepsake!

Add a string of battery-operated fairy lights around your blanket to create a romantic glow.

Bring a Polaroid camera to capture the magic of the night, and create a mini photo album of your wedding night fireworks.

Make sure to time a special kiss to coincide with the finale of the fireworks—it’s a classic, but there’s nothing quite like sealing the moment with a kiss as the sky explodes with color!

No matter what you choose, ending your wedding day with fireworks over Magic Kingdom Park is a dream come true! Here’s to a happily ever after!
