Hello Moms! I am getting Married in April. So I wanted to have a bachelorette in WDW with about 8. What's the best weekend to stay between late January and late March? What is the best resort to stay cheap, etc? Any special ideas?

    Hi Christine!

How exciting for you to be planning a girls weekend in celebration of your upcoming nuptials. Congratulations! In terms of when to travel, I'd simply avoid holiday or large event weekends such as Martin Luther King Jr. weekend (1/20/14), Presidents Day (2/17/14), and Princess Half Marathon Weekend (2/22/14). March will offer the warmest weather, but also Spring Break crowds. If you choose March, try to travel as early in the month as possible.

My first thought for Resort Hotel options would be the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel. Not only can you often find great rates at the Swan or Dolphin, but the pools, dining and spa amenities will not disappoint. I stayed here on a girls weekend last year and found it to be a perfect choice for us. We were close enough to all of the Boardwalk excitement and nightlife, and the rooms were spacious and clean. If you do decide to stay at Swan or Dolphin, be sure to arrange for airport transfers as Disney's Magical Express is not available. Parking at the resort is also an additional cost.

I hope my suggestions were helpful, Christine! I'm happy to help you with any other questions you might have as you plan your fun girls weekend in Walt Disney World.

    Best wishes,
