Getting excited about my summer WDW trip! When will information be confirmed about July 4th celebrations? Fireworks times, schedules and park opening hours?

Welcome to planDisney, Hannah! Thanks so much for coming to us with your question today. It's so exciting that you're going to be able to join in with the Fourth of July celebrations on your trip this summer. It's one of the most festive times of the year to visit the parks, and there's nothing quite like watching fireworks light up the sky while you're surrounded by all that Disney magic.

Official schedules for things like park hours, fireworks times, and special celebrations for Independence Day are typically released much closer to the actual date, usually just a few weeks out. So while you might not see all the confirmed information just yet, hang tight, it's on the way!

That said, Disney tends to follow similar patterns from year to year, so looking at what happened last Fourth of July can give you a pretty good idea of what to expect this year. For example, in 2024, the Disney Parks Blog posted all the fun Fourth of July festivities in mid-June, so we'd expect a similar announcement this year around that time. Magic Kingdom typically does a special "Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky" on both July 3 and 4, and EPCOT has been known to add a patriotic tag, The Heartbeat of Freedom, to their nighttime spectacular, Luminous, as well.

In the meantime, you can keep an eye on the Walt Disney World calendar and the Disney Parks Blog for updates. I'd also recommend checking the My Disney Experience app closer to your travel dates. It's a great tool for keeping track of schedules, showtimes, and park hours.

    Have a magical day, Hannah!
