    Getting excited leaving for Disney World in 6 days and staying at the Grand Floridian. Last visit they upgraded my family to the lagoon view at no additional charge. I was wondering is this something the resorts do often? Is is something I can request?

    Hi Karen!

         Wow, it is so exciting that your Walt Disney World vacation is beginning so soon!  Resort room upgrades do happen occasionally depending on availability.  I will tell you that it never hurts to ask if a room upgrade is available when you check in because the worst that you can be told is that there are no upgrades available.  The Cast Members work really hard at making magic happen for the Guests and receiving a room upgrade definitely counts as magical!  Also often the earlier in the day that you check in to your Walt Disney World Resort, the better chance for an upgrade in room that you may have.  I know that you are going to have an amazing time staying at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa because it is such an amazing Resort!

    I hope that your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical in every way!
