Getting excited. We arrive this Friday (husband, 3 kids (10,9, and2). Is Fantasmic too loud and scary for the 2 year old? I don't want to wait in line just to leave. We do plan to go again next year, so let me know if it is worth it for her age. Thanks

    Hi Bonnie,

Fantasmic! is one of my favorite shows in Walt Disney World!  Your older children will love it; however, it is loud and can be VERY scary for small children at certain points during the show.  Villains do make appearances in the show and are often larger than life.  Having said that, every child is different -- I took my 9 year old to see it when he was 3, and he loved it.  My 3 year old daughter, on the other hand, hasn't seen it yet because I know she'll be frightened.

Fortunately, these days we have YouTube.com.  If you don't mind not being surprised, yourself, I recommend going to YouTube.com and searching for Fantasmic! Hollywood Studios.  You can watch clips. Many of the clips are shot in 3 parts.  The scariest parts happen about halfway through the 2 section.  This way you can decide what's best for your family.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
