Hi Mary Lou,
Great question! I've got a few of ideas that come to mind, so let me see if we can come up with a winner here:
Idea #1: If your interest in getting the maps is to help with your planning, then I'd recommend checking out the newly-improved
interactive maps that are featured on DisneyWorld.com. With the version that's available now, I think they actually have more information available than the paper maps that are found around Walt Disney World.
Idea #2: If your interest in getting the maps is to help surprise a family member (or for some other reason), then I'd suggest calling the main number at the resort hotel you'll be staying at and see if they can arrange to mail some to you.
Idea #3: If you're not planning to stay at one of the Walt Disney World resort hotels, you can try calling the main guest services line at: (407) 939-5277 and see if one of the cast members can assist you with that request.
Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:
Since we're on the topic of maps, I have to spread the good word about the free
My Disney Experience app that's available for smartphones. Even though I think I can find my way around all of Walt Disney World with my eyes closed, I used this app on my last visit and it was a huge help. In addition to the GPS-enabled maps, you can check FASTPASS return times, attraction/show wait times, organize your dining reservations, and so much more! If you haven't downloaded it yet, then I highly recommend that you do so before your upcoming vacation.
I hope that helps! If you should have any additional questions, please feel free to write back and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can.
Best regards,
Derek
