We are getting the dining plan for our upcoming trip and my entire party is 10 or over except one. She's 8 and eats all sorts of foods and doesn't want to be restricted. Can we claim her as 10 and pay the extra for her adult plan?

I sure hope you’re hungry, Lori! You’re got so many delicious bites to try when you visit Walt Disney World Resort! I am so happy to hear of your 8-year-old, who’s as adventurous as Peter Pan, and hungry as Pooh Bear (though Pooh mostly goes for the honey)!

When you call to book your Resort Package, elect your choice of dining plan, and you can choose and pay for an adult meal plan for your your daughter.  Keep in mind that because the Disney Dining Plan operates as a package (room, tickets, dining plan) altogether, you’ll have to pay for adult park tickets for your daughter, too.  That’s the only way to get the adult plan for her.  If you choose not to select the Disney Dining Plan, you can order and pay for meals a la carte.

Remember to make all your table reservations 180 days before your check-in date to get your favorite locations and the times that you prefer. I can’t wait until my son nears his teens, I just know the Disney Dining Plan will suit his growing appetite! Please let me know if you have any other issues I can help with! ~Lindsey P.
