We are getting the dining plan, but will be short one dinner because of a 2 ticket dinner we are doing. If we go to a restaurant, where we will pay cash, would we be allowed to use our refillable cup in that restaurant?

Hi Linda! It sure sounds like you are planning for a delicious Walt Disney World vacation!!

Refillable mugs are sold at each Disney resort hotel or are included in the 2012 Disney Dining Plan. These can be used only at the counter-service restaurant of the hotel in which you are staying. Each location offers soft drinks (Coca-Cola Products), coffee, hot chocolate, hot and iced tea. The mugs are good for use the entire duration of your current trip.

So, if you are dining at the counter-service restaurant of your hotel and paying cash, you are more than welcome to utilize your refillable mugs to save money on any drink purchases for that meal.

Thanks for taking the time to visit us at the Walt Disney World Moms Panel and feel free to send more questions our way in the days leading up to your trip! May your Disney vacation be practically perfect in every way!
