We are getting 3 day pass to use in 5 days. I saw an option for wristbands. If we get wristbands, are they good for the entire stay or do we have to get new one each time. I was guessing it’s like a music festival where you get one to last all days. Thanks”

I am so happy that you stopped by with your question about MagicBands. They are an amazing piece of technology that can also be very stylish. When you order MagicBands as a Guest of a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, you can choose a design at a pre-arrival discounted price. Most of the MagicBands that you will see offered are exclusive to Guests who pre-order them. The offerings change quite often due to ongoing supply chain challenges. I recommend that when you see a MagicBand that you and everyone else in your party want, order them as soon as possible. Some styles are available in limited quantities. Be sure that you order one for everyone in your party. If you should happen to decline a MagicBand for any reason, you will not be able to go back and order again for anyone who did not find a MagicBand they liked when the original order was made. 

Your pre-ordered MagicBands can be customized with each person’s name or nickname. This comes in handy if more than one person in your family wants the same style. When you receive your MagicBands, they will already be linked to everyone’s My Disney Experience account. This will allow you to access your theme park admission tickets and park pass reservations. You can unlock the door to your Disney Resorts Collection Hotel room, and charge food and merchandise back to your room account. When you are in the parks, you can add PhotoPass Photos to a Memory Maker account and redeem any Genie+ Lightning Lane and Individual Lightning Lane selections. 

Your MagicBand has a battery life of at least 2 years, so when your trip is over, you can keep them and reuse them on your next adventure. I have over 40 active MagicBands linked to My Disney Experience account and all of them can access any tickets or reservations I have linked to it. I even have a few MagicBands that are still operational after 4 years. The batteries may not be strong enough to capture onboard ride photos, but they will work when scanned at a TouchPoint. 

Keep in mind before you place your order that MagicBand+ is due to make its debut any day now. This upgraded version of the MagicBand will allow you to interact with Disney’s Fab 50 Character Collection, created for the 50th Anniversary Celebration. Whichever option you choose, your vacation will be truly magical.
