Hi! I am getting annual passes for my whole family this year (two adults/one child). Is it necessary for all three of us to add on the photopass or can they share mine using their magicbands? Thanks!

    Hi Bethany,

Welcome back to planDisney! I'm thrilled to hear that you are joining the ranks of Walt Disney World annual passholders.

One of the many benefits of being an annual passholder is the ability to add the Disney PhotoPass  option so that you can download all the images captured during your vacations. I've been a passholder for almost 30 years and had never added PhotoPass until this year. I can't believe I waited so long. It's been so great to have. We've gotten incredible family pictures that we probably wouldn't have posed for if I didn't have the PhotoPass option.

You can add the option to any of your family's annual passes when you book the passes online. You should see a checkbox beneath each. I added it only to my pass. My husband and I are always together at Walt Disney World, so he doesn't need his own pass. I make sure to tap my MagicBand or ticket at each photo location.

I also recommend stopping by the Disney PhotoPass Studio at Disney Springs for a family photo session.

And don't miss out on all the discounts and special offers for passholders. I make sure to ask about a discount at every restaurant, lounge and merchandise location. And during your visit, you will be able to pick up your first free passholder magnet. The current magnet features Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde. It is available February 5 to March 15, 2026. My refrigerator and car are covered with these fun souvenirs.

Thanks for our question, Bethany. Please enjoy every magical moment as a passholder, and let us know if we can help  in any other way.
