Ahoy, Marlon!
Thanks for sailing by planDisney with such an important question. A
Disney Cruise Line vacation is so special, and sailing away from the mainland really gives your family that spirit of adventure and excitement to explore exciting ports of call! However, when onboard Disney Cruise Line for such exploration you are also leaving the continental United States and proper travel documentation is required by law.
Every destination has its specific requirements, but most sailings
require either a United States Passport OR a Unites States Government Identification (such as your Georgia state driver’s license) AND your United States-issued birth certificate. While the passport is the strongest form of secure identification, in the absence of one you must present these two forms of identification to travel.
Please see the exact
detailed requirements on the Disney Cruise Line Travel Documentation page, or you may
call Disney directly with any concerns or questions about your specific sailing. You will present this documentation during the online check-in process as well as in person at the port terminal.
I hope this helps you feel organized and prepared for your upcoming sailing, Marlon. Please let us know what other questions you have as you finalize your special vacation.
Wishing you a practically perfect sailing,
Amy
