    How does genie work

Hi Gregory! Thank you for bringing your question to planDisney

The Disney Genie and Genie+ Services make planning a day at the Walt Disney World theme parks a breeze! When I was at Walt Disney World last week, I used both Genie and Genie+ to check out attraction times, book lightning lane, and plan my itinerary for the day!

Both Disney Genie and Genie+ are available within My Disney Experience. You can enter your preferences for the park you are visiting, the attractions you want to experience, and where you want to dine within the app. The Tip Board will then populate a recommendation for how you should organize your day, including standby wait times and the option to purchase Lightning Lane for individual attractions or a pass for the day.

If you purchase Lightning Lane, you can make one selection at a time to reserve a specific window of time to experience the attraction. You may also purchase individual lightning lane entrance access for select attractions, for up to two attractions a day. If you are staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, you can begin making your selections at 7:00 a.m. on the day you visit.

Within Genie, you can also access new PhotoPass lenses and listen to audio tales!

I highly recommend using Genie and Genie+ when you visit because it will save you so much time! I hope you have a magical vacation!
