How you use Genie+ with a single ticket at Disneyland?

    Hi there, Katherine!

Get ready for a whole new world! The Disney Genie+ service will take you for a magic carpet ride of sorts throughout the Disneyland Resort. I'm happy to share with you some information to help make your Genie+ experience as magical as possible. "Do you trust me?"

Disney Genie+ is an optional add-on for your Disneyland Resort theme park tickets. There are two ways to purchase Genie+. It can be included with your original ticket purchase for all of your ticket days at once. Or it can be purchased one day at a time on each day of your visit. When purchasing Genie+ each day of your visit, your ticket must first be used to enter a theme park before you can purchase the service in the Disneyland mobile app. To do so, you may access the “My Genie Day” screen from the feature menu (the ☰ button in the lower-right corner). Tap the "Get Disney Genie+ for Today" link, select the ticket or tickets to upgrade with phenomenal cosmic power, then follow the steps to check out and complete the purchase.

The Disney Genie+ service includes three amazing features: the ability to book Lightning Lane return times, digital downloads of your Disney PhotoPass photos, and access to Audio Tales.

To make Lightning Lane reservations, find the participating attraction on the "Tip Board" screen. You'll see the currently-posted standby wait time and the next available Lightning Lane time. If the Lightning Lane time works with your plans for the day, tap the "Book Experience" button to proceed. You'll select your ticket to include in the reservation and confirm your choices. Booking a Lightning Lane return time for attractions not included with Genie+ uses a similar process. One additional step is to enter payment information during the reservation booking. Up to two of the individual Lightning Lane reservations may be purchased per ticket per day.

To take advantage of access to Disney PhotoPass, tap the '+' button on the bottom of the screen of the Disneyland app then tap "Link PhotoPassPhotos." That will bring up a screen where you can immediately type in photo IDs from attractions that feature on-ride photos. If you are getting your photo taken by a PhotoPass photographer, tap the "Show PhotoPass Code" for the photographer to scan. You may also link a PhotoPass Card and show that card to your photographers as well. To view your photos, open the "Photos" screen from the app's feature menu. You may download your photos directly from the app. Or you may visit the Disney PhotoPass website to view and download your photos.

Finally, Use the Disneyland app to listen to in-depth stories and background information about attractions and lands of the Disneyland Resort in Audio Tales. Audio Tales acts as a sort of digital tour guide and storyteller during your visit to the Disneyland Resort. You may enjoy listening to Audio Tales while waiting in attraction queues, during meal time, or while walking between areas of the resort. Audio Tales will also remain available in the app for a few weeks after your visit to allow you to reminisce on your experiences while at The Happiest Place on Earth!

Thanks for coming along on this magic carpet journey with me, Katherine. I hope you have a magical time at the Disneyland Resort.
