Hi Tripp, welcome to planDisney!
If Magic Kingdom Park is the heart of holiday magic at Walt Disney World Resort, then
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom Park is the wish that heart makes. There's nothing quite like standing on Main Street, U.S.A., and watching the snow fall as Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade passes by. I recommend watching the 11:00 p.m. parade for more elbow room.
Disney Genie+ service is not offered during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. If you happen to have a general admission ticket that gets you into Magic Kingdom Park on your party day, Genie+ Lightning Lanes and Individual Lightning Lanes are available for general admission Guests until the
park's closing time of 6:00 p.m. This may sound like disappointing news, Tripp, but it's been my experience that Disney Genie+ service is not really needed during the party thanks to reasonable standby queue wait times. One of my panelist pals attended the Christmas party last week and shared that the longest wait she experienced was 30 minutes for Jingle Cruise.
Guests attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party can enter Magic Kingdom Park as early as 4:00 p.m., even though the party doesn't begin until 7:00 p.m. I recommend using this gift of time to experience attractions that are not open during the party like Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress and Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room. Christmas party Guests are also eligible to join a
virtual queue for
TRON Lightcycle / Run at 6:00 p.m. To secure your opportunity to enter the Grid, I recommend setting a timer on your phone, confirming your party in the
My Disney Experience mobile app by 5:55 p.m., and clicking "Refresh" at 6:00 p.m. on the dot.
