To have the genie+ service, do I have to be inside the Disney resorts?

    Ariel,

Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!

No, any visitor to Walt Disney World can use the Genie+ service! You do not have to be a resort hotel guest to use the Genie+ service.

Let's review some of the basics!

Any guest, regardless of where they are staying, can purchase Genie+ at 7 am that day and book a reservation for any of the 40+ attractions that the program covers.

I will let you know, however, that the rules are a bit different for the Individual Lightning Lanes. These few attractions are available for most guests to purchase starting at the published opening time of the respective park. However, Disney Resort Hotel guests are allowed to make those purchases starting at 7 am. That is the only real difference for you, if you are not staying at a Disney Resort Collection hotel, or one of these three other area hotels.

    BONUS TIP
Don't let that time gap for making Individual Lightning Lane reservations bother you. All those attractions still have the traditional entry lanes available. You may have a wait in line for a bit, but the time spent is worth it!

Please feel free to write me directly if you have any follow-up questions.

    Have a Magical Vacation!
