Hi there, Vincent!
Thanks for sending your question to us at planDisney! Though I'm not sure exactly when you plan to arrive at the Walt Disney World Resort, I did want to send a friendly reminder that you'll need to make theme park reservations using the
Disney Park Pass Reservation System before your stay! There have been quite a few days on the calendar where the parks have reached their reservation capacity recently, so I always want to throw out this tip to ensure that Guests can visit the parks of their choice once they arrive!
Vincent, if you're interested in utilizing the
Disney Genie and Genie+ Services during your visit, you have a few options. Disney Genie is a free feature for all Guests available through the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. To use this feature, you'll make selections through the app to tell the Genie your preferences on rides, attractions, experiences and more to create a customized itinerary to help plan out your day. The Genie will use all his cosmic powers to help maximize your time in the parks!
Since you mentioned reservations, my best guess is that you're more interested in the
Disney Genie+ service. This is a paid add-on per Guest per day, allowing you to select your favorite rides and attractions and bypass the standby line by using the Lightning Lane entrance. If you haven't already purchased Disney Genie+, you can do so within the
My Disney Experience app or online by adding it to your current ticket. To make a reservation for the experiences of your choice, you'll want to be up and ready before 7 a.m. on the day of your park visit. At 7 a.m., open your My Disney Experience App and select the menu button in the bottom right corner. Select "Tip Board" and choose the park you're visiting that day. You'll be met with a list of all rides and attractions available in that park listed in alphabetical order. You can see the standby wait time as well as the next available ride time with Disney Genie+. When you find a ride and time that looks appealing to you, click it and confirm your party. And as simply as Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo, you'll have a reservation for that ride. You can make your next selection as soon as you scan into the first or two hours after making the initial reservation, whichever comes first.
It is important to note that it is not possible to make Disney Genie+ reservations ahead of time. All selections are made the day of your park visit beginning at 7 a.m. I always find it helpful to set a 6:30 a.m. alarm, so I can create a game plan and execute it as soon as the booking window is available!
I hope this helps answer your question today, Vincent! May the Genie grant all your wishes!
Until next time,
Ashley
