Hi David, a warm welcome to planDisney today.
When you arrive in Florida, you can use your My Disney Experience App to purchase a
Lightning Lane Multi Pass, a Lightning Lane Single Pass or both. Prices will change by day, Park selected, or attraction selected for Lightning Lane Single Pass. I'm afraid I don't have the new pricing structure, but historically, I saw Disney Genie+ price range from around $15-30. When you arrive, it's the beginning of a new era of Lightning Lanes at Walt Disney World. Here are some of the main changes that you may be interested in.
First, you can purchase this service for multiple days at once. Second, you will know what three rides are available, the timings of pre-bookable Lightning Lanes and the price, giving you greater clarity before purchase.
Traditional free standby lines remain available at most attractions and experiences.
Virtual queues (again free) are used for the newest and most popular attractions in lieu of a standby line. As you're visiting from the UK, I hope you have been able to avail of our
Magic Ticket, and if so, you'll have a good amount of time in the Parks. Remember, there is so much more to Walt Disney World than its headline attractions. Captivating shows and diverse dining options mean we always like to spend at least some days soaking in the atmosphere without Lightning Lanes. Our family truly cherishes these relaxed and spontaneous days.
I highly recommend
Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor for an airconditioned giggle and sit-down. Character Dining is always a hit in our house, too. Winnie the Pooh and his mates always give a warm welcome, and the puffy French toast served during breakfast at
The Crystal Palace is the stuff of Disney dining dreams. Added bonus - if you book your table around 10:15am, you should experience both the breakfast and lunch delights on offer.
I hope this information helps today, David. If you need anything else, please pop back to planDisney.
Magical wishes,
Louise
