    On the Genie Plus system? I have a 5 year old and a 13 year old. 5 yr old wants to ride Slinky Dog/Seven Dwarfs, 13 rides Avitar/Space Mtn. Parents have to ride with 5 yr old, using their 2 rides, 13 yr would ride alone? Family friendly?



    Hey there, Rebecca! Welcome to planDisney, and thanks so much for stopping by to see us chat about your next Walt Disney World vacation. I see you’re looking forward to the arrival of Disney Genie later this fall! It sounds like you have a great handle on how the system works and are already aware that those under age seven must enjoy attractions with a person age 14 or older. Guests age seven or above that meet height requirements for an attraction may enjoy it unaccompanied. For example, I would feel comfortable allowing my 13-year-old to enjoy Avatar Flight of Passage and Space Mountain as part of their Individual Attraction Selections. These attractions are certainly family-friendly, and each one actually has single-rider seats, so they will not be seated immediately next to another person. You know your older child best, but allowing them to enjoy a little bit of freedom by experiencing an attraction by themselves might be an incredible experience for them as they gain independence!
